In our continuing effort to provide “best in-class services” to all of our participants in the NECA/IBEW Family Medical Care Plan {FMCP), the FMCP has completed work on a brand new claims processing system which will be more efficient, cost-effective and enable the Plan to completely control the claims paying process with no reliance on a third-party system. Effective January 1, 2021, participants’ member ID number will change. This change requires that we send all participants a new medical card which will include their new member ID number. What does this mean to participant? They will continue to use their current medical card until the end of December 2020 and then discard it. Effective January 1, 2021, participants should use the new card for their medical needs. We are providing each participant with two copies ofthe new medical card. Should participants wish to receive additional cards, or have any questions about this change, they can contact our customer service number at 1-877-937-9602.
